ANNAPOLIS- Md. - The Lehigh men and the Navy women took home the team crowns at the Patriot League Swimming & Diving Championships, being held at Navy's Lejeune Hall. Four more Championship records fell on the final day in the pool, bringing the three-day total to 11 new records.

Navy senior Melissa Hawley and American junior Mark Liscinsky were tabbed the Patriot League Swimmers of the Meet, while Holy Cross senior Kim Rinaldi and Colgate freshman Lane Ellis captured PL Diver of the Meet honors. Bucknell's Jerry Foley was named the Women's Swimming Coach of the Year, while Mark Davin of American took home Men's Coach of the Year accolades. Holy Cross' Brian Boyer was the Diving Coach of the Year.

Today, Hawley claimed a first-place finish in the 200-yd butterfly with a time of 2:06.29 to go along with her titles in the 200- and 400-yd individual medley. The senior, who was also the 2001 PL Swimmer of the Meet, also anchored the Navy 400-yd freestyle relay team to a meet record time of 3:29.70.

Liscinsky, who has broken two PL records entering the final day (100-yd backstroke and 200-yd individual medley), posted a record time in the final with a mark of 1:47.81. He had originally set the bar with a 1:49.40 in the prelims in the morning. Liscinsky was also a member of the 800- and 400-yd freestyle relay teams.

Rinaldi successfully defended her title of League Diver of the Meet with victories in the one- and three-meter diving events. The senior set the meet record with 456.70 points in the three-meter dive, breaking the old record set by Julia Bell from Army in 1996 (446.90).

Ellis continues the storied history of Colgate diving, becoming the fifth Raider to take home Diver of the Meet honors. The rookie won the one-meter event today with 287.35 points and also claimed a second-place finish in the three-meter on the opening day of competition.

The other meet record that was set Saturday came from American sophomore Dominic Szabo, who touched the wall first in the 200-yd breaststroke with a time of 2:00.10, which is also a NCAA provisional qualifying effort. Teammate and fellow sophomore Ethan Bassett finished second in the event and also hit the NCAA provisional mark with a time of 2:00.37 in the final.

The Mountain Hawk men registered two first-place finishes Saturday by sophomore Brian Golebiewski in the 1,650-yd freestyle (16:12.61) and junior Bing Padmasankha in the 100-yd freestyle (45.74). The American women posted the most victories on the last day, led by senior Junkal Irigoien in the 200 backstroke (2:02.71). Rounding out the list of Eagle winners are sophomore Jessica Lindstrom (100-yd freestyle - 51.95) and junior Stina Lindman (200-yd breaststroke - 2:21.88).

Other winners on the final day of competition include, Bucknell sophomore Daniella Fass in the 1,650-freestyle (17:13.27) and Army freshman Sebastian Rodriguez in the 200-butterfly (1:51.92).
